Long Overdue Update

Yikes! It has been quite a while since I've updated the blog.

As most of you know, we had a bit of a disaster at the library and have had to move out while they rip out and replace some drywall and carpeting.  We aren't sure when we will be back in our permanent home but hope that it will be sometime this Fall.

In the mean time, the Library is settling in to it's temporary home. It didn't take long for our die-hard readers and computer users to find our new location. We would like to again thank all of our patrons for their support and understanding while we do repairs to the main Library.

Now that life is getting more settled we are back to cataloging both new releases and donated items. We just added about three dozen newly donated movies and are in the process of adding several new release movies including: The Woman In Gold, The Longest Ride, Sons of Liberty, and the kids' movie Home.

As for books, of course we have Alert – the newest Michael Bennett book by James Patterson as well as the newest releases by Mary Higgins Clark, Catherine Coulture, Jonathan Kellerman and the new book out by Harper Lee. We have an order in that includes the newest books coming out by Sandra Brown and Debbi Macomber but these won't be available until after Aug. 18th. We are continuing to add to our Easy, Junior, and Young Adult collections as well in the hopes that we will be well stocked by the time school roles around and kids need to start accumulating those pesky AR points.

If you haven't been to our temporary home yet, come visit us! We are at 201 South Main Street and are open our normal hours: Mon & Tue 2-7pm, Wed 9am-2pm, Thur & Fri 2-7pm, and Sat 10am-2pm. We have a small collection here and can interlibrary loan anything else you need that we don't have. We have three public computer with wi-fi and limited printing capabilities. The only service we usually offer which we are not able to currently is faxing. We do not have a phone line here. Unfortunately, this also means you can't call us. The best way to get a hold of us right now is through email –homerlibrarian@gmail.com or to stop in and see is in person.

Don't forget, if you need to return materials and can't get them here when we are open, you can still return items to the outside drop boxes at the Village Hall. We are checking those regularly.
