Upcoming Events for December 2014

We have another exciting month coming up here at the library.  We will have our usual events - our movie matinee on Dec. 10th and our family movie on Dec. 19th but we will also have Santa in the Library on Dec. 6th from 10am-1pm and we are working on a kids' program during the Christmas break from school.  Thanks to some recent donations, after Dec. 6th we are going to start to have a puzzle table up every day through the winter.  If you get bored or cold at home, come on in to the library and help us work on a jigsaw puzzle!

For our movie matinee this month we will be showing The Jersey Boys, a story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons. The movie matinee is always the second Wednesday of the month and starts at 1pm.

Our family movie this month will be The Penguins of Madagascar: Operation Special Delivery.  In this movie, the hilarious and highly protective Penguins are back and ready to right the wrongs of injustice and deliver cheer to those that need it most. In Operation: Special Delivery , Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, and Private get trapped in a snowstorm, try to escape from the clutches of Officer X, and deal with visits from unexpected family.

Look for more information on our holiday kids' program - I hear that we will be playing detective and learning about things like invisible ink and secret codes.

If you ever have a question about programming or anything else about the library please call us at 217-896-2121, email us at homerlibrarian@gmail.com or check out our Facebook page!
